Clearing your Energy through your Senses: Touch

The last of the senses we haven't covered yet is the sense of touch. It is one of the most powerful ways to clear energy and also one of the most intuitive.

Many of the most commonly motions and gestures that we do instinctively and universally are actually energy clearing motions.

Imagine that you were walking by the park where some children are playing baseball. All of the sudden you get smacked in the arm by a well-hit baseball. Pow!

What do you do?

Universally, we all grab our arm, shout something to the effect of "ouch!" and start rubbing at the spot where we were hit.

Why do we do this? From an energetic perspective grabbing the point where we were hit and shouting (expelling air forcefully) helps us circulate our energy powerfully.

It's the same reason martial artists shout when striking.

Can you imagine experiencing pain and not being able to shout or exhale? How much more torturous would the experience be?

The expulsion of breath helps us circulate our energy and move it through the block introduced by being struck by the baseball.

And what next? We rub our arm. This sort of brushing motion is a quick and easy to disperse energy and clear blockages. They make up an important set of motions in energy clearing massages such as TuiNa.

In fact, the Qi Shower exercise from the video in Energy Clearing miniseries #9 relies mostly on a brushing, dispersing type of movement and could be categorized as clearing through touch.

Touch such a powerful and intuitive way of clearing energy that there are way too many techniques to count. There's rolfing, many types of massage, dozens of forms of tapping, acupressure, Chi Nei Tsang . . . and so many more.

We're going to focus on just one simple exercise that can powerfully balance and clear our energy. I'm just now realizing that it will be difficult to describe and understand through written word...
