[Practical Steps] Switching on the Flow
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a lifetime of viewing money only from the physical perspective and being taught the “hording” mentality, it can be difficult to switch to Flowing money.
It’s not just going to happen overnight.
Reading the Money Miniseries was a good start. Even better would be to study it and read it repeatedly until you understand its nuances.
But of course, as we learned in The Missing Pieces, Motion is the activator of Intention and Attraction and really gets Creation going. So…
Here are a couple of Practical Actions you can take to really kick start your personal Flow of Money. Doing these will begin to change your relationship with money and shift you into Flowing rather than Hording.
1) Open a savings account. Every week, deposit $10 (or whatever amount is comfortable based on your income, even if it’s just 50 cents).
Never spend that money. That account is just there for you to stare at, get excited about its growth, and to give your subconscious the knowledge that “Yes, I have money.”
You can adjust the amount according to what you are comfortable with, but once you set the amount, commit to it. Never deposit less. Deposit more if you feel like it.
2) Every week, give $10 away (again, adjust this according to what is comfortable for you financially).
You can give it to a charity, to a homeless person, to your church. You can give it to anyone that you feel good about giving it to. Don’t give less. And never give more than you can comfortably part with. Remember to love yourself and the family who depend on you first.
There are several purposes for these 2 steps:
- It allows you to nourish your giving spirit in a way that doesn’t put yourself or your family at risk.
- It allows you the express your gratitude for what you do have in your life.
- It tells your subconscious that you have money and abundance; you have enough for yourself and your family and still have enough to give.
- It takes you out of the “want loop.”
Many LOA teachers will tell you that as long as you want something, you are attracting more want for it, rather than actually having it. Often times this can be true.
So rather than want…
We give what it is we want. And that giving ignites the process of creating it.
This doesn’t make sense from a physical perspective, but in the energetic world it opens flow. So long as we give only what we can comfortable afford.
As we get more of what we want, we can increase what we give and open the flow even more.
To your happy, more abundant, and flowing New Year!
